Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of SAP ERP Competence Center EMEA to lead and evolve our SAP landscape across the EMEA region. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role is responsible for the strategic direction, governance, service delivery, and continuous improvement of Landis+Gyr’s SAP ERP systems. You will oversee a diverse team of SAP professionals, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and alignment with business needs across Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, HR, and Procurement. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape our S/4 HANA transformation and ensure that our SAP ecosystem delivers the scalability, reliability, and agility required to support a growing global organization. #LI-SG1 #LI-Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the EMEA SAP ERP team (~10 people) and manage all SAP applications and integrations in scope.

• Define and execute the SAP strategy, ensuring alignment with global IT and business objectives.

• Oversee the operation, governance, and continuous improvement of ERP systems, ensuring availability, performance, and data integrity according to SLAs.

• Manage relationships with external partners, integrators, and licensing providers; ensure cost-effective service delivery and vendor performance.

• Maintain SAP CCoE certification and ensure compliance with ITGC and audit standards.

• Drive architecture and process improvements, supporting future readiness for SAP S/4 HANA.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, HR, and Product Management) to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.

• Own the EMEA ERP budget, ensuring cost control and value delivery.

• Champion best practices, innovation, and user experience improvements across the SAP environment.

• Foster a culture of excellence, learning, and accountability within the SAP Competence Center.

Profile

• Degree in Business IT, Computer Science, or Business Administration (or equivalent qualification).

• SAP trainings/certifications (including openSAP).

• 10+ years of experience in SAP ERP environments, including team leadership and project delivery in international organizations.

• Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, integration, and customization, ideally with experience in S/4 HANA transition.

• Proven track record managing SAP service operations and vendors in a global context.

• Deep understanding of business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.

• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional SAP transformation projects.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
