Head of HR Switzerland & Global Corporate Functions

For our Human Resources department at the company headquarters in Cham, near Zurich, we are looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Head of HR Switzerland & Global Corporate Functions (100%).

 

In this challenging and rewarding role you will report directly to the Chief People Officer and will partner with colleagues on all levels from all over the world. For the countries in Europe (Switzerland , Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain and United Kingdom) the role involves overseeing the whole HR Lifecycle in HR operations and HR strategies together with the direct reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing human resources related insights to support strategic decision-making with a strong consultative approach and deep expertise in navigating complex, matrixed global environments. Additionally, the role is a hands-on business partner to the Swiss based Executive Management team members.

 

What will your day/week look like with us:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the operational HR Life Cycle including but not limited to recruitment, compensation, benefits, talent management, productivity, recognition, employee engagement, occupational health and safety, training and development with your team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely undertaking of operational HR key processes.
  • Monitoring and ensuring the organization’s compliance with Federal, State, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommending best practices; reviewing and modifying policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Coach, develop and support managers with HR related strategic and operational matters to develop and implement businesspeople strategies.
  • Develop and strengthen motivation, change, commitment, company culture as well as behavior to the code of conduct/ethics.
  • Lead and mentor the European HR team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

In addition, the role has the following duties:

  • Represent the headquarters in Switzerland in interactions with external parties (i.e., other organizations, industry associations, labor organizations, government, etc.).
  • Local Site Manager and responsible for all activities on health and safety activities, IMS/ QEHS and InfoSec in connection with the ISO certification.

 

How will you succeed with us:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Human Resources or HR-Fachfrau / -mann mit eidgenössischem Fachausweis. A master’s degree in HR will be advantageous.
  • Several years’ experience in similar HR environment in High Tech Industry or similar as Head of HR and/or HR Business Partner with a keen focus on operational HR.
  • A strong hands-on approach, understanding working in matrix environments and dealing with different stakeholder groups in a multinational enterprise.
  • Several years of experience with the Swiss labor law.
  • Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people.
  • Self-confident, trustworthy personality and working independently with limited supervision.
  • Strategic mindset and technical savviness.
  • Effective team player and networker.
  • Proficiency in English and German is a must have and strong communication skills.
