Join our dynamic team as a HR Generalist (60-100%) at Landis+Gyr. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting local HR operations and processes, helping employees across different functions & regions, and driving HR initiatives that impact our global workforce. Based at our global HQ in Cham, Switzerland, you will work closely with colleagues from around the world to maintain and enhance HR best practices and standards.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support end-to-end personnel processes, including onboarding, transfers, and offboarding
  • Serve as the point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, systems, and processes
  • Oversee work permit applications for employees and manage short-term registrations
  • Draft and administer employment contracts, amendments, and reference letters, education agreements and other HR-related documents 
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, such as managing service anniversaries
  • Maintain and update HR systems, including ABACUS, SuccessFactors and Plustime
  • Conduct onboarding sessions and ensure a positive first-day experience for new hires
  • Partner with the HR Solutions Team to align on operational efficiencies
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance efficiencies using state-of-the-art technologies
  • Ensure HR practices comply with local labor laws and company policies

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • A completed commercial education with further training in HR (e.g., HR Assistant certification or equivalent) or recent higher education degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of work experience in operational HR, ideally in a Generalist role or similar
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team collaboration and intercultural understanding
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with HR systems and IT solutions is a plus (e.g., ABACUS, SuccessFactors)
  • Fluency in both English and German (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage
