For our Global Legal & Compliance Team, at our company headquarters in Cham, near Zurich, Switzerland, we are looking for a highly motivated temporary Data Privacy and Compliance Paralegal (100%) for 10 months. In this challenging and rewarding position you will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer / DPO and support the preparation, implementation and management of internal processes and policies, and external legal requirements related to different legal projects.
Your main responsibilities will among others include:
- Support with the legal review (Privacy Impact Assessments) of information technology assets (internal systems and processes), and of operational technology systems (product portfolio).
- Ownership of the system for Records of Processing Activities globally in close collaboration with Data Privacy Champions and other departments.
- Review and update of policies, standards, procedures, and communication materials.
- Review, update or development of training materials on data protection.
- Coordination and management of projects related to data protection.
- Provide pro-active, hands-on data protection advice to the Landis+Gyr Group and in the execution of the Legal & Compliance Strategy.
- Support with the design and implementation of annual compliance & data protection trainings.
- Support with Compliance and ESG related projects (for example: supplier due diligence, human rights etc.).
This position requires the following skills & experience:
- Law degree and/or Paralegal training.
- At least 2 years of experience working in the field of data protection in a legal department or law firm.
- Business enabler with strong hands-on approach, who can think and advance projects independently and is willing to learn and develop.
- Language skills: fluent English; fluent German preferred, but not required.
- Proactive team player.
- Technical background is an asset.
- CIPP/E, CIPM or similar data protection related certifications are an asset. #LI-PR1 #LI-Hybrid
