Job Summary

Design, develop, and maintain Smart Grid applications using .NET Core, C#, Kubernetes, Helm, PostgreSQL, and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, and Azure. Leverage modern .NET and cloud-native technologies to build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. Collaborate closely with Product Management, Project Management, Architects, and cross-functional R&D teams on requirements analysis, effort estimation, system design, development, testing, and delivery of end-to-end Smart Grid solutions. Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders to design robust system components and technical solutions. Mentor junior developers by promoting best coding practices, code quality, design principles, and effective use of development tools while fostering technical excellence within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
•Lead in component and/or solution design, development, documentation, and validation.
•Work on agile development teams, collaborating with multiple cross-discipline architecture teams, Cloud Infrastructure Team to develop software components as part of L+G Smart Grid solutions.
•Participate in recruitment, development and mentoring junior engineers.
•Lead functional area-specific continuous improvement initiatives.
•Lead in innovative technology and solutions development and/or validation. 
•Create tools and applications by developing clean, efficient code based on specifications. 
•Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software. 
•Identify and deploy software tools, systems, and components. 
•Identifying areas for modifications in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications. 
•Develop and unit test features in the Company's software products. 
•Provide detailed & accurate estimates for code development efforts. 
•Provide detailed & accurate estimates for code development efforts. 
•Conduct code reviews with the team (subordinates) to improve compliance with established best practices and coding standards. 
•Integrate software components and third-party programs. 
•Train users and gather feedback. 
•Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.

Technical Requirements:
•Expert status with .NET Core, Helm and C#.
•Strong SOAP Web Services, REST API and TCP/IP Knowledge. 
•Experience with Windows Operating Systems, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes (GKE, RKE2) and Kafka messaging.
•Experience with Database scripting (Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server). 
•Experience with LwM2M, LTE protocol and DLMS, ANSI, Wi-SUN data exchange standard a plus.

Education and Experience: 
•B.S. in Computer Science or a related degree  
•Extensive software development experience (7- 15 years).

Pay is in the range of $108,923 - $144,788 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
