Position Summary

The Senior Director, Product Strategy serves as the product leader for the Grid Intelligence business segment, responsible for defining product strategy, with portfolio strategy as a core component, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring strong product-market fit across the business.

This leader will drive market-led product and portfolio planning, evaluate emerging customer and industry needs, and translate opportunities into differentiated software, analytics, AI, and services solutions. The role serves as the strategic bridge between Grid Intelligence and Connected Platforms, ensuring hardware, software, and services roadmaps align to deliver integrated customer value.

The ideal candidate combines strong market insight, strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and product leadership experience to drive portfolio growth and establish best-in-class product management practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the Grid Intelligence product strategy and multi-year portfolio roadmap
  • Assess markets, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and technology trends to identify growth opportunities and strategic investments.
  • Drive product-market fit through customer discovery, market validation, business case development, and product portfolio planning.
  • Partner closely with Connected Platforms leadership to align platform and hardware capabilities with solution and market requirements.
  • Lead product portfolio investment, prioritization, pricing, commercialization, and lifecycle management decisions.
  • Establish and scale product management best practices, frameworks, and operating rhythms across the organization.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and functional guidance to product managers across the Grid Intelligence portfolio.
  • Collaborate with R&D, sales, marketing, services, finance, and strategy teams to maximize portfolio performance and customer value.
  • Drive accountability for growth, profitability, customer adoption, and portfolio outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of product management, portfolio management, product strategy, or related leadership experience.
  • Proven success leading complex software, SaaS, analytics, platform, or technology portfolios.
  • Deep experience in market analysis, product and portfolio strategy, product-market fit, pricing, commercialization, and portfolio prioritization, including balancing customer requests, strategic initiatives, and resource constraints.
  • Demonstrated success building, leading, and influencing high-performing product organizations.
  • Strong executive communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience in utilities, energy technology, grid modernization, IoT, analytics, or AI-enabled solutions preferred.

Pay is in the range of $168,800 - $232,100 per year.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.  All candidates are encouraged to apply.
