General Summary:

Support and analyze complex customer and internal embedded firmware problems reported in  Landis+Gyr devices. May work as a sole contributor or as part of a larger team to identify issues, design and implement the solution. Collaborate with Field Support, Technical Management Office, Firmware QA, System Test and other Engineering teams to resolve, validate and release device firmware. Sustain current code base to address defect and potential cost down improvements. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 3 (L3) support for  Device Hardware and Firmware
• Provide L3 support for manufacturing teams as issues arise that either affect quality or result in stop ship scenarios
• Represent L3 Support as appropriate in CAPA (Corrective Action, Preventative Action) meetings
• Provide in depth  root cause analysis of customer issues, accurately documenting reasons for failures and appropriate resolutions
• Interface with Product Management, Core Engineering, Technical Management Office and other internal teams to drive quality improvements
• Support and adhere to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Education and Experience (include required Certifications, if any):

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related degree
• 3 to 5 years of software development experience
• Knowledge of  C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
• Knowledge of  C, C++, COM, Win32 API, Web Services, TCP/IP, embedded S/W programming a plus.
• Knowledge of embedded Linux programming
• Knowledge of Python, AWK, and BASH scripting
• Knowledge of agile/iterative software design process.
• Knowledge of Embedded Windows Operating Systems.
• Knowledge of GIT, Gerrit, Jenkins tools, Azure Dev Ops(TFS).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Personal Computer knowledge
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Keyboard/typing skills
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Pay is in the range of $81,400 - $126,800 per year.  The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.  All candidates are encouraged to apply.
