Sr Accountant

Job Summary

 
Prepares journal entries, maintains and reconciles ledger accounts. Analyzes financial information. Prepare financial statements, reports, and reconciles balance sheet accounts. Assists in completion of month end duties. Heavy focus on Cognos reporting, including intercompany reporting and financial statement validation. Responsible for lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842. Assists with cash flow forecasting. Serves as backup for fixed assets. Contributes to the implementation or improvement of SAP S/4HANA processes. Manages and maintains master data records related to financial transactions as needed.


Key Responsibilities:


•    Perform and support Cognos reporting, including intercompany reporting and financial statement validation.
•    Prepare Accounting memo for Accounting changes and interpretations as needed.
•    Record month-end accruals and other journal entries as needed during close.
•    Assist with cash flow forecasting and related analysis.
•    Analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts, month-over-month comparison and fluctuation analysis, as well as provide commentaries.
•    Contribute to the implementation or improvement of SAP S/4HANA processes.
•    Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
•    Assist management with SAP projects related to department process improvements.
•    Support for month-end reporting and year-end audit requests.
•    Supports and adheres to Company’s core values.
•    Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.
•    Serve as backup support for fixed asset accounting.


Education & Experience:


•    Required Minimum Level of Education: Bachelors Degree
•    Required Minimum Years of Experience: 5+ to 7
•    Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degreed or equivalent experience is required in the field of Accounting, Finance, etc.
•    At least 5 years of related experience required.


Required/Desired Certifications:  


•    CPA Preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:


•    Driving Status: Will drive on business for the Company 6 times or less per year.

•    Physical Requirements: Typical office setting. Required to stand; walk; crouch; or handle objects. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Ability to sit and view computer screen for long periods of time. The ability to see, hear, & speak in English. •    Personal Protection Equipment/Other OHSAS-18001 Safety Requirements: Ensure the continued efforts and assist in achieving annual goals of health, safety, and environmental policies. Must be current with available OSHA/Safety Training provided by the Company. If required, must be able to work while wearing safety equipment such as hard hats, work boats, gloves, hearing protection, and others.

Pay is in the range of $74,200 - $100,287 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
