 Job Summary

Primary responsibility include:
-    Driving quality improvement programs
-    Maintaining detailed evaluation of product reliability
-    Leading problem solving (root cause investigation)
-    Orchestrating corrective and preventive actions
-    This person must work with a cross-functional group to characterize product failures
-    discern plausible trends and drive pro-active measures
-    This job requires exceptional analytical skills, logical reasoning and people skills


Key Performance Indicators:
-    Drive the organization to achieve all relevant KPIs
-    KPIs will be defined during the objective setting period
-    Non-conformance costs (NCC)
-    Field failure rate in ppm
-    CAPA closure time (TAT)
-    New Quality/Reliability initiatives


Core Areas of Responsibility/ Accountability:
-    Lead and execute quality improvements initiatives.
-    Apply relevant experience, statistical tools and analytical techniques to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and establish root cause of problems.  
-    Work with, and at times, lead cross-functional team in identifying potential quality problems, characterizing failures, and driving corrective and preventive actions. 
-    Analyze RMA data and other field data to predict long-term reliability. Utilize knowledge of reliability evaluations tools like MTBF, Weibull, etc.
-    Produce reliability reports, and other related KPIs for senior management.
-    Recommend course of action to upper management regarding field reliability issues.
-    Effectively communicate with decision makers internally and external customers on complex issues, both verbally and using media. 
-    Execute sampling procedures, and direct workers engaged in receiving, measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.
-    Knowledge of key supplier/manufacturing control concepts like PPAP, DMAIC, SPC and Six Sigma is strongly desirable.
-    The ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedure manuals, schematics, data books, handbooks, statistical process control, sampling plans, etc.  
-    The ability to listen to, understand, and clearly respond to complex technical questions raised by technology savvy personnel.  
-    Prior experience with analysis/investigations that involved chemistry or chemical interactions will be a plus.


Core Technical/Skills Competencies:
-    Knowledge of 8D, FMEA, DFM, DFR, Root cause analysis, 5 Why and other quality tools for problem solving
-    Reliability assessment and prediction tools (Weibull, etc.)    
-    Knowledge of Test and qualification methodologies
-    DFSS (Design for Six Sigma)    
-    Documentation and record keeping     
-    Experience with Product Development Life Cycle (Stage gate, Agile, etc.)    
-    Ability to positively influence others without direct authority in efforts to move assigned projects forward    
-    Expert level competency with MS Excel
-    Knowledge of Electronics and manufacturing process


Required Experience:
-    Minimum Years of Experience: 5+ to 10
-    5+ years’ experience in a leadership role
-    Experience in electronics/electrical/chemistry/chemical/mechanical device quality and/or reliability evaluation.
-    Experience in Hardware, embedded SW (FW), and Device development for industrial systems.
-    Experience working in quality or continuous improvement delivering robust business process improvements.
-    Experienced in root cause problem solving, implementing preventative and corrective actions
-    Demonstrated skills in data analysis and problem solving
-    Experience working within multicultural Groups and Methodologies
-    Required Minimum Level of Education: BS, MS in Electrical/Electronic/Chemical Engineering, or equivalent

Pay is in the range of $92,000 - $114,630 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
