Job Summary
Overall management of the Devices Research & Development PMO to assure adequate project steering and control. Development of the Project Manager skills and competences through mentoring and coaching. Development of the Project Manager best practices. Manage the overall capacity planning activity for projects. Regularly provide consolidated project reports and analytics for the management team for decision support. Manage a complex program through the project managers while managing program level risks and project dependencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assure adequate project process steering and project control (steering groups in place for each project)
• Establish and maintain monthly project dashboard with key KPIs and project summary overview
• Maintain regional project manager team collaboration infrastructure (e.g. IMS, Intranet sites, MOMs, actions log, etc.)
• Support escalations
• Establish and operate the regional process work groups to develop and share project manager best practices
• Provide mentoring and coaching for project managers as needed.
• Maintain harmonized and documented project management process for Solutions projects.
• Implement R&D process tailoring for projects when necessary.
• Ensure project portfolio maintenance (is PMO related, list of running projects to be kept clean etc.)
• Budgetary capacity planning.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of PMO frameworks and methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, Agile, Hybrid) and Product Development Life Cycle phases.
• Proven expertise in project portfolio management, capacity planning, budgeting, and revenue/variance reporting.
• Solid experience in risk management, project dependencies, escalation handling, and change control methodologies.
• Proficiency in project scheduling and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, ServiceNow, Smartsheet) and operational use of the MS Office Suite.
• Ability to design and deliver data-driven reporting and analytics (dashboards, KPIs) to support executive decision-making.
• Demonstrated strength in mentoring, coaching, and developing project managers to build organizational capability.
Accountabilities:
• Expected Travel: Up to 25%
• Excellent leadership qualities and the ability to make decisions without perfect information.
• Ability to positively influence others without direct authority in efforts to move assigned projects forward.
• Excellent change management skills. Ability to accept change and respond to setbacks with minimal disruptions.
• Ability to work efficiently within a matrix management organization.
• Provide mentorship and professional development to resources
Education and Experience:
• 5 years PMO experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Manager/Program Manager with at least 75% time devoted to hardware product development and implementation activities
• Certified Project Management Professional, Six Sigma, CMMI desired
• Experience developing and employing project management artifact standards and best practices (SOW, Task Estimation Plan, Project Proposal, Project Plan, Budget/Variance Report, Status Report, Test Plan, etc.)
• 2 years’ experience in a leadership role desired.
• Experience working with peers internationally
• BS, Engineering required. MS, Engineering preferred
• Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements/Safety/PPE/OHSAS:
• Working Conditions: Typical indoor office environment with the majority of time spent sitting and working on a computer using keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Occasional use of other devices such as: phone, copier/printer/fax, etc.
• Physical Requirements: Typical office setting. Required to stand; walk; crouch; or handle objects. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Ability to sit and view computer screen for long periods of time. The ability to see, hear, & speak in English. • Personal Protection Equipment/Other OHSAS-18001 Safety Requirements: Ensure the continued efforts and assist in achieving annual goals of health, safety, and environmental policies. Must be current with available OSHA/Safety Training provided by the Company. If required, must be able to work while wearing safety equipment such as hard hats, work boats, gloves, hearing protection, and others.

Pay is in the range of $112,965 - $162,627 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
