Manager, Finance

The Manager, Financial Systems & Reporting will be responsible for the financial systems, data and reporting from all areas of the finance and accounting organization (within the Americas Region) and develop streamlined processes to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences as well as managing the master data process for customer, vendor, product, department and GL accounts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Master Hierarchy Maintenance including all default and alternative views of the business.
  • Oversee and maintain the structure and continually improve the process to change or add elements into the master dataset for customer, vendor, product, department and GL accounts.
  • Perform analysis of interface programs and write requirements for modifications.
  • Configure and test delivered programs.
  • Manage programs running in production environment (TM1 and Cognos Controller)
  • Ad Hoc financial report development.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to large scale project and program implementations.
  • Heavy work in excel, access and other software designated by business unit.
  • Works with limited supervision
  • Partner with Senior Leadership to develop procedures to resolve issues while mitigating financial risk to L+G and exploring potential for revenue growth.    
  • Create and maintain various cubes in multiple program environments using coding skills to automate tasks.
  • Reconciling data between various finance and accounting systems during month end close, monthly forecasting and annual budgeting on both a consolidated level and standalone legal entity level.
  • Implement and maintain online reporting dashboards.
  • Manage direct reports.
  • Supports and adheres to Company’s core values.
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.

  • Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.

Education & Experience
Required Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor’s degree
Required Minimum Years of Experience: 2+ to 5


Desired Education/Experience

  • Demonstrates understanding of relationship between data and business rules and functions (i.e. data analysis concepts). Proficient with tools and software to extract and analyze data in the data management function.
  • Solid knowledge of data practices and principles for data analysis. Demonstrated solid analytic and diagnostic skills. Demonstrated solid interpersonal skills. Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aptitude for developing innovative systemic solutions to improve business processes.
  • A great deal of experience with concepts and principles of Data Trending are essential.
  • Strong communication and project leadership skills
  • Ability to develop and implement solutions for the causes identified.
  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of TM1 structure and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Cognos Controller structure and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of SAP structure.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to problems.
