Landis+Gyr is seeking a Software Development Intern for Summer 2026 to work on-site fulltime hours Monday through Friday at our Alpharetta, GA location. This is a paid internship but we don't provide housing assistance or relocation so will be considering local applicants.

 

Project Overview:


Interesting opportunity for Software Development enthusiasts wanting to experience real world software development and learn more about the energy domain.
The project will involve working on customer-facing software or building tools to reduce the cost of implementing, testing and deploying real world software.  Experience will include writing code that positively impacts customers, fixing quality issues and creating unit tests.  
In addition to learning software development and quality fundamentals, the intern will also have an opportunity to learn multiple technologies, including C#, Visual Studio, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Microservices and Cloud hosting technologies
To demonstrate the skills learned, the interns will be able to demonstrate what they implemented using the actual software, code coverage reports, SonarQube reports, and defects fix reports

 

Student Objectives/Responsibilities:


•    Implementing code changes or building tools under the guidance of a Software Architect or Senior Software Engineer
•    Creating Analytical Reports from MS Azure DevOps data  
•    Analyzing Security Tools Report (SonarQube and Mend) and create defects in MS Azure DevOps.

 

Qualifications:


•    Interest in Software development
•    Self-motivated to learn new technology
•    Enthusiastic about online research and problem solving 

 

Education:

Applicants must be undergraduate students who by August 2026 will be returning to school in their junior or senior year towards their Bachelors degree in Software Engineering. Graduates will not be considered.

Pay is in the range of XY per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.  All candidates are encouraged to apply.
