Landis+Gyr is seeking a Summer Intern starting in May 2025 through the beginning of August 2025 working fulltime hours on-site Monday through Friday at our Alpharetta, GA office. This is a paid position but we don't offer a housing stipend or relocation assistance so local candidates are preferred.  Applicants should be undergraduate level students who by May will have completed their Freshman, Sophomore or Junior year towards their Bachelors degree. Individuals who will have graduated by May and Masters level students will not be considered.

 


Project Overview/Job Description: 

 

•    Self-starting individual to join the Operational Excellence team in their deployment of continuous improvement activities and change management. 


•    Participate in cross-functional project teams within Order Management, Meter Systems Engineering, Project Management Office (PMO), Technical Training, Technical Documentation, and Customer Experience.


•    Interface and employ a plan with various functions to ensure improvements are deployed and sustained for long-term success.

 


Student Objectives/Responsibilities:


•    Participate and lead continuous improvement projects with various functional managers to provide continuous improvement on existing processes, implementation of automation projects, and provide data analysis on current baselines. 


•    Create and update work instructions, value stream maps, and flowcharts. 


•    Recommend, develop, and manage key metrics for measuring performance to a standard. 


•    Other duties as assigned. 

 


Education/Experience:


A student working towards their Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain & Logistics, Operations Management, or Computer Science.
