Landis+Gyr is seeking a Fall Intern to start in August 2023. This is a paid position but we don't offer a housing stipend or housing assistance so students will need to live in or around the Alpharetta, GA area to be able to work in-office approximately 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. 

Project Overview
The student will learn about software and hardware IoT solutions offered by Landis+Gyr for Electric, water and gas energy management in the utility industry. They will learn to test and troubleshoot our solutions. They will also be working on a project that typically automates or streamlines our team’s processes or serves as a proof of concept for new products that can solve a problem in the industry. The student will demonstrate their project and present an overview of their solution to the team (Technical Implementation Engineering) they work with as well as other teams and department heads at the end of the semester.

Student Objectives/Responsibilities
•    Learn about their team, the organization, the industry as well as products and solutions offered by Landis+Gyr
•    Work with their manager to identify a project that serves a need for Landis+Gyr as well as suits their skill level and technology interests
•    Collaborate with other team members and complete the semester project
•    Support the team in troubleshooting and testing tasks for devices and software systems
•    Learn to deploy Landis+Gyr hardware and software solutions in cloud environments and understand different business models like SaaS (Software as a Service)
•    Learn about different departments, teams, and career paths in Landis+Gyr that the student might be interested in pursuing after graduation

Education/Experience
An undergraduate student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering
