Job Summary
The Database Administrator (DBA) III plans and manages computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. Monitors the daily processes of the Oracle database functioning and coordinate with the Network Operations Center. Writes SQL queries to analyze data and to generate informational reports. Assists DBA I and II.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Installation, configuration and management of database software (SQL server,Oracle) in enterprise environment.
• Capacity planning and forecast resource for Databases (SQL server,Oracle).
• Troubleshooting database and application issues.
• Proactive monitoring of databases.
• Performance tuning and Query optimization
• Setup and implement backup and recovery plans configure and manage DR databases.
• Install and configure Clusters (RAC/Microsoft Cluster)
• Troubleshooting cluster issues.
• Strategic planning on database technology
• Evaluate new version of database and related products.
• Test and implement new version of database and related products.
• Manage the cluster databases (RAC / Microsoft cluster database)
• Documentation of process and configuration
• Owning, tracking, and resolving database related incidents, requests, fulfilling request and resolving incidents within SLAs.
• Reviewing service related (Database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on daily basis to ensure service-related issues are identified and resolved within established SLA.
• Responding to related alerts, escalations and working with other teams to come up with strategic solutions.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree Is required.
• 7 - 10 +years of database administration experience in large production environment with degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong analytical Skills and troubleshooting knowledge in large production environment.
• Knowledge of Shell script and Perl
• Decision-making abilities that affects department only.
• Ability to provide 24X7 on call.
• Ability to work closely with internal and external customer
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
• Working Conditions: Typical indoor office environment with the majority of time spent sitting and working on a computer using keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Occasional use of other devices such as: phone, copier/printer/fax, etc.
• Physical Requirements: Typical office setting. Required to stand; walk; crouch; or handle objects. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Ability to sit and view computer screen for long periods of time. The ability to see, hear, & speak in English. Pay is in the range of $85,490 - $121,393 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
